Slump

We've had relatively lovely weather this week.  Not that it hasn't rained at all, but the sun has come through a noticably large amount and the temperatures have stayed around 50 degrees F.  Really nice for fall outdoor riding and running.

Unfortunately, I've spent the last several days recovering from a stomach flu and haven't been outside for more than a walk around the block.

I'm all better now and seriously itching to get out for some kind of exercise.  I've got to claw out of the grey sky feeling and get back into a routine.  I welcome the approaching long weekend and will surely delight in working off some of the many calories I eat on Thanksgiving day.

Bring on the turkey...and the bike!

  1. Hi Missy! Are there cycling groups or more specifically women's cycling groups in Grand Rapids? If you like groups, this is a great way to get out and about and have a routine. Most groups ride on certains days at certain times and it helps to get out, see some cycling friends and not have to be out by myself all the time! Check out the club I belong to at www.womenridingwell.com Look at the pics too! We are also very social and have parties and get togethers to paint jerseys so we could go as a deck of cards for the Halloween ride here in ABQ. We have lots of fun together. And knowing I am meeting friends from the club, gets me out on colder days than I would ride by myself...sharing the suffering I guess! We will have a thanksgiving morning ride to burn calories in ADVANCE of that big meal! YEAH! Burning calories!

  2. Ah, there's nothing worse than being sick when the weather is good! Glad to hear you are on the mend. Happy Thanksgiving!

  3. Hope you feel all better soon, and that it stops raining for the weekend.

  4. Hope you're feeling better! It's so sunny out that it'd be a shame to be sick and stuck indoors.
